Tonight it's two solo piano performances. Matt Norman moved to Santa Fe in 2011, from Seattle where he had performed jazz and improvised music for 10 years. He appeared at the Earshot Jazz Festival and Seattle Improvised Music Fest, holding down a steady gig at the famous Blue Moon Tavern, as well as composing for independent film and theater. Originally from the Bay Area, Thollem McDonas is a perpetual world traveler who performs and records, both solo and collaboratively, with ensembles of all types and genres, as well as being an activist and teacher. He says, “I make music that I hope stimulates the mind and the body, that will shake people awake, starting with me first.”...
